Although organized differently, most criminal justice systems are made up of the following parts:

  • Parole Officers
  • Police
  • Prison Officials
  • Prosecutors, Procurators, or their equivalent
  • Mental Health Services
  • Judges
  • Criminal Defense Lawyers
  • Jury (lay people acting as fact finders).
  • Defendant(s)
  • Victims
